✫ What is Congo Fever?

The full name of Congo Fever is the Crimean Congo Hemorrhagic Fever. The disease was first seen in Crimea in 1944 and was then named Crimean Hemorrhagic Fever. When the disease was first seen in Congo in 1969, it was named the Crimean Congo Hemorrhagic Fever.

This fever was found in Eastern Europe, Northwest China, Central Asia, South Europe, Africa, and the Indian Subcontinent. The infection of the fever spread in Pakistan, South Africa and Iran and the virus has also affected about 75 people in Gujarat, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.

✫ How does Congo Fever Spread?

After knowing the history of this deadly fever, it is also very important to know in which and how this fever spreads? This fever, commonly known as Congo Fever, is usually more in animals, but the chances of spreading it to humans are also very high. People living in infected areas with CCHF who are more exposed to animals such as shepherds and people working in landmills may get infected soon by this fever.

If this fever happens to any person, then the risk of death increases greatly. But if it is identified on time, then it can be possible to treat it.

CCHF is a virus-borne disease and is spread in animals by ticks, ie small insects or fleas sticking to the animal's body. Female ticks of the genus Hyaloma are the most important factor in CCHF, and the vaccine causes the virus to reach and infect many domestic animals such as cows, buffalo, goats and sheep. Now the question is how the CCHF virus affects humans.

If a person is infected with CCHF virus or comes in contact with animal blood, then this virus also enters that person's body and infects him. After one person is infected, the risk of infection in other people also increases significantly because if there is infected blood or body fluid transfer from one infected person to another body then the other person also becomes infected with CCHF virus.

The maximum chance of an outbreak of CCHF virus remains in hospitals where if the medical equipment is not cleaned properly and the infected material is used again, then the virus can spread rapidly from one person to another.
